The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Coun Dale Smith, urged Bradford Bulls fans to get behind their team as he bought his season ticket for this year.
The Lord Mayor was at Odsal with Bulls owner Omar Khan as both he and his wife signed up to watch the team play in the Super League next season.
He said: “I’m delighted to be supporting Omar and Gerry Sutcliffe and showing my dedication to Bradford.
"I wish the Bulls every success for this season and hope they do well – Bradford needs a Super League rugby team.
“All the fans need to come out and support the club and buy season tickets. It’s crucial that the fans attend the games to demonstrate their support. ”
Mr Khan saved the Bulls from administration when he bought the club in September.
