Smoke from a blazing car filled the bathroom of an adjacent house following a suspected arson attack.

Six people were inside the house in Ashleigh Street, Keighley, during the incident in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters called police when they discovered stones had been thrown through the windows of both the car and the house.

Crew commander David Knox, of Keighley Fire Station, said the Toyota, which was parked alongside the terraced house, was destroyed in the fire.

He said: "Nobody was injured but the house had a window open upstairs and the bathroom filled with smoke. There were six people in the house which could have been dangerous."
