Train attacked by yobs in Shipley tonight

Stone-throwing yobs caused rail chaos when they pelted a commuter train on the Bradford to Skipton line this evening. Passengers were delayed as British Transport police hunted the vandals who had stoned carriages travelling between Saltaire and Shipley at around 7.45pm. A police spokesman confirmed there had been an incident on the line and said officers had gone to the scene to investigate.

The "poor misunderstood and deprived" people who did this will doubtless be let off with some easy option and be free to brag about it to their peers, that is of course in the very unlikely event that they are actually caught.
This is attempted manslaughter and should carry appropriate sentencing.

And what exactly are the Police doing? Was the helicopter called to the scene? If not, why not? Too busy persecuting harmless cannabis users probably.
