Pair face charges relating to accident in which Bilal Khizar died

A man and a woman have been charged tonight in connection with the death of 12-year-old Bilal Khizar in Bradford.

Police confirmed a 21-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman arrested in connection with the fatal road traffic collision will appear at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said the man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, perverting the course of justice and other road traffic offences.

The woman has been charged with perverting the course of justice.

Bilal, who lived in Spring Wood Gardens, West Bowling, died when he was struck by a red Seat Ibiza while he was on a pedestrian crossing near Asda in Rooley Lane at 7pm on Saturday.
