Bradford Bulls star Matt Diskin paid a visit to the Marie Curie Hospice in Bradford.

He was shown the many and varied services the hospice in Maudsley Street offers to local people and went away full of praise for the staff.

He also met David Allison, a patient in the day therapy department, and Steve Davis, the hospice’s art therapist.

David has provided some of the artworks which featured in the hospice’s 2012 calendar and some for the 2013 calender.

Matt said: “I heard a lot about the Bradford hospice at a Sports Lunch I attended recently and was keen to see the work it did.

“I enjoyed meeting the staff and, in particular, the patients, who were being looked after there.

“I hope to be able to support the work of the hospice in whatever way I can.”
