Visiting teams from across Yorkshire performed traditional Morris dancing in the centre of Otley .
Crowds gathered to watch the dancers perform routines including the longsword dance which is a Yorkshire tradition.
A dozen morris dancing groups including Otley’s Buttercross Belles descended on various pubs and landmarks across the town to dance throughout the day on Saturday.
The Pateley Longsword team, Betty Lupton’s Ladle Lakers, Rainbow Morris and ClogARhythm were all at the event.
Janet West, from the Pateley Longsword team, said that it was a great day.
“All the dancers met up at the Otley Courthouse then split up to dance at different venues including The Horse and Farrier. It was a really good day,” she added.
“We always have lots of people watching and next year we will head to another place for a Day of Dancing. Our team dances longsword which is a Yorkshire tradition.”
