Police were last night continuing to question five men in connection with a violent disturbance on a Bradford street, during which a gun was fired.
Up to 20 young men from two groups were involved in the violence at about midnight on Tuesday, in Grantham Street, Great Horton .
Witnesses described some of the group using metal bars and sticks to attack others, and a masked man firing several shots from a rifle into three parked cars.
Two men, aged 23 and 25, were arrested at hospital that night, after attending for treatment to minor injuries. Nobody is believed to have been injured by the gun.
Detectives yesterday arrested three more men, aged 25, 26 and 30. All five remained in police custody last night, being questioned on suspicion of violent disorder.
Nobody has yet been arrested in connection with the use of the firearm.
