9:19am Wednesday 26th September 2012 in News By Steve Wright, Crime Reporter
Rail commuters faced severe disruption today due to a signalling fault at Shipley train station.
The problem was reported at 6am and services from Bradford Forster Square to Skipton were cancelled at 7.30am. Trains were still running to Skipton from Leeds.
Bradford to Ilkley services were starting at Shipley, though connecting trains to Leeds were running from Bradford.
Leeds to Bradford Forster Square services were terminating at Shipley.
A bus service was being provided from Shipley to Baildon .
A Northern Rail spokesman said a signalling fault at Shipley had been repaired by 10.30am but it would be lunch-time or early afternoon before services would be back to normal due to the disruption and the busy location.
