Superstar magician Dynamo has a homecoming gig in Bradford this week to promote his autobiography.

Dynamo – real name Stephen Frayne – is the illusionist to the stars, his close-up magic wowing fans and celebrities alike.

The second series of his TV show recently ended on Watch and now he’s told his own amazing story in his book, Nothing Is Impossible: The Real-Life Adventures of a Street Magician, out from Ebury Press on Thursday.

On Friday, Dynamo, who comes from Bradford’s Delph Hill estate, will make a triumphant return to Bradford when he appears at Waterstones in the city centre to sign copies of his book and meet his growing legion of fans.

Umar Ayaz, from Waterstones, said: “It’s quite a coup getting him here. He wanted to do something in Bradford and we managed to organise getting him here this week, when he’s got a really busy schedule.”

The store is expecting a huge turnout after promoting the appearance in the shop, around the university and college, and on social media networks.

Umar said: “He’s a real Bradford success story, a local boy made good. He’s due here at 4pm and we’re hopeful he might do a trick or two. He’ll be here for about two hours, depending on the turnout.”
