Meteor lights up the night sky above Bradford
A passing meteor caused alarm to bewildered residents in Bradford as it hurtled across the sky last night.
Police in the district received a number of anxious calls from people who had spotted a bright light passing over them.
A police spokesman said the strange light was a meteor.
One resident who saw the meteor, said: “When it passed me it was green. It then turned white, and then orange and started to break up, but it was miles away by then. It was amazing.”

According to the Myan's, the world is supposed to end on the 21st December 2012.

there's another non-story for the T&A to exagerate.

An example which ties in nicely with this story is that Mir is the Russian word for world(Zemlya is Earth) and Mir reentered the Earth's atmosphere and thus "ended "11 years ago. Therefore it could also be argued "the World" has already ended.

It measures cycles of time, that the Mayans called Baktuns, and counts precessional cycles of almost 26,000 years. The one that ends on 21.12.2012 is the 13th Baktun, and it marks the end of the 5th Sun and the beginning of the 6th Sun. The theory is that these cycles of time are linked to the level of human consciousness on earth, which is also cyclical. In short it's marking the dawn of the New Age, in which the old patriarchal paradigm, and all it stands for (machismo, war, aggression, competition, materialism, etc.) is replaced by the Feminine attributes of consciousness. All systems and institutions that are based upon corruption, fear, greed and inequality must crumble in the wake of the New Age as they cannot withstand the finer, higher, energies that are now bombarding the planet, hence the current economic collapse and wars/natural disasters of recent decades. Hope that clears things up for you.
