EXCLUSIVE

Bradford Bulls’ new owners today revealed fans will have to pay twice as much for their season tickets compared with last year’s prices to bring the struggling side back to a “sound financial footing”.

Bradford restaurant boss Omar Khan and former Sports Minister Gerry Sutcliffe revealed the price structure for season tickets at the newly rejuvenated club – announcing an ‘early bird’ offer which means supporters can buy a season ticket for 13 games for the price of nine if bought before November 14, as well as an initiative that will see under 12s able to cheer on the team free of charge at home matches.

The cheapest adult early bird price for the Terrace is £180 – more than double last year’s lowest price of £85 – but the OK Bulls Limited chiefs say the new prices would bring financial stability to the club and put its ticket prices in line with rival Super League sides.

A brave and proper decision IMO, but lets see how many fans will think the same, good luck Bulls, being a die hard City fan I've been there and got the Tee Shirt

Cheap as chips but as the earlier poster says, will the fans think the same ?
It's ok doubling the price but if your gate halves then it's false economy.
Their gates were poor at 85 pound a season ticket so why will it be any different ?

I've never heard anything more ridiculous in all my life
Doubling the season tickets is what is needed true fans will pay the prices and put the club back to where it needs to be
If fans can't afford to pay the prices come to the occasional games or start saving now!!
I for one would like to see money used to bring some average players who will come in and try there best to perform
Its going to be a hard couple of years I for one will be there supporting them throug thick and thin COYB!!!

Remember, the salary cap is the limit not the target. Don't go gambling the future of the club away.

As for season ticket prices, there no doubt will be a hit in sales but don't just stick pay on the gate prices at stupid levels, you habe 13 games to bring in the fans, make everyone count, don't price them out for not buying a season ticket.
