Bookworms across Wharfedale and Aireborough get ready!

Today, the Ilkley Gazette and Wharfedale & Aireborough Observer are launching a fabulous competition to mark the success of the Ilkley Literature Festival.

One lucky reader will get the chance to claim their own ‘mini festival library’ – worth hundreds of pounds – in our competition.

We are giving away a number of the books due to feature at this year’s festival, ranging from Jeremy Vine’s It’s All News To Me, to Hockney – The Biography by Christopher Simon Sykes and Penny Junor’s Prince William: Born To Be King.

More books will be added to the prize during the next few weeks as the build-up continues to one of the country’s biggest literature festivals, so be sure to order your paper for all the latest updates.

Gazette and Observer deputy editor Richard Parker said the prize represented a unique piece of the event.

“This competition is one for true bookworms and lovers of literature,” he added.

“Thanks to the help of people behind the festival, our winner can enjoy the highlights of what will undoubtedly be another brilliant and inspiring event for many weeks and years to come.”
