Detectives are hunting ramraiders who reversed a 4x4 truck into a Bradford off-licence early today.

Shopkeeper Shahid Mahmood says the attack on his business in Torr Road, off Cooper Lane, Buttershaw , shortly before 3am had left it looking like a war-zone.

Mr Mahmood, 39, estimated about £20,000 of damage was done and it could take days before he can open again.

Police were at the scene minutes after the automatic alarm went off, said Mr Mahmood, and forensic officers are at the scene now looking through the wreckage for clues, detectives will also be looking at the shop’s CCTV.
