Force on course to hit its targets
Police performance in West Yorkshire is on track, according to a report by Chief Constable Sir Norman Bettison.
The report says the force is on target to achieve eight out of ten key performance indicators. Confidence in local policing and customer satisfaction have improved since the start of the year, and public perception of anti-social behaviour is at its lowest level. The report also states that the level of serious acquisitive crime has reduced by a quarter in the first four months of the year.
House burglary was down by 35 per cent between April and July, compared to the same period last year.
The report will be presented to West Yorkshire Police Authority’s strategic planning and performance committee tomorrow.
