September sunshine greets crowds at Saltaire Festival
Morris dancers were among the attractions at Saltaire Festival today as crowds basked in September sunshine.
The festival of art, music and food is now in its tenth year and is expected to attract 40,000 visitors.
Top designers and makers were today displaying textiles, jewellery and ceramics at the Makers' Fair at Victoria Hall, and the yards of the village's famous mill cottages were open to the public this afternoon.
Tonight, Rahila Hussain will give a masterclass in Pakistani cuisine, accompanied by readings and a sale of fair trade handicrafts from the region. Tandoori and Tall Tales takes place at the Half Moon Cafe in Roberts Park, from 7.30pm.
Tomorrow, The Chair, a seven-piece group from Orkney, who won best band at the Scottish Folk Awards, will perform music from the Highlands and the islands at Victoria Hall.
The festival runs until Sunday, September 16.
