Drivers are being warned to expect delays on the M62 between junctions 24 and 25 westbound today after two lorries collided.
It happened at 12.50pm, causing three of the four lanes of the motorway to be closed.
The incident has caused major delays, stretching back beyond junction 26 at Chain Bar.
Police are advising motorists to find alternative routes where possible.
The driver of one of the vehicles was taken with injuries by air ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary.
