West Yorkshire Probation doing good work in key areas

The latest inspection report on adult offending work at West Yorkshire Probation found “some good work” being done to reduce reoffending and protect the public.
The West Yorkshire Probation Trust recorded above-average scores in three key areas as part of an inspection by HM Inspectorate of Probation in May.
The report, published today, said the trust’s work to minimise each individual’s risk of harm to others was judged to be done well enough 76 per cent of the time, compared to the national average of 74 per cent.
Work to reduce the risk of re-offending was done well enough 78 per cent of the time, compared to the national average of 73 per cent, and work to maximise compliance and enforcement was done well enough 83 per cent of the time, compared to the national average of 79 per cent.
