Chemical spillage causes chaos on M62

Heavy delays were building up on the M62 this morning after a lorry shed its load of hazardous chemicals, blocking the westbound carriageway near Bradford.
All traffic towards Manchester has been stopped following the lorry shedding its load, with the main blockage between junction 27 (Gildersome) to junction 26, for the Chain Bar roundabout and Bradford.
Congestion was building up back to Junction 30, Rothwell, and also on the M621.
A drum containing a hazardous substance is believed to have fallen from a lorry.
