A movie actor, brought up in Gargrave , will present A Celebration of Harold Pinter at Ilkley Playhouse. Julian Sands will perform his one-man show in the Wharfeside Theatre on Saturday, August 25, at 7.30pm.
Directed by John Malkovich, the show was first presented at the Edinburgh Festival last year and later went to the Alhambra in Bradford.
A Celebration of Harold Pinter has its roots in 2005 when the seriously-ill playwright asked Mr Sands to be his stand-in to present a selection of his poems for a benefit recital in London.
