Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex has officially opened the new offices of the British Wool Marketing Board as part of her visit to see the wool industry in Bradford today.
The Countess is visiting four wool and textile companies in the district today, and has started her tour by officially opening Wool House, the new offices at the British Wool Marketing Board, in Canal Road.
The visit forms the first engagement for The Countess, born Sophie Rhys-Jones, in respect of the Campaign for Wool, which has been spearheaded by Prince Charles.
She will also be visiting Haworth Scouring at Cashmere Works, Birksland Street, Bradford, textile manufacturer Bulmer and Lumb Group Limited, in Buttershaw , and Westex Carpets Limited in Cleckheaton .
