Offer for Bradford Bulls expected tomorrow

The administrator of stricken Bradford Bulls has revealed he is expecting a consortium of Asian businessmen to submit an offer to save the rugby league club tomorrow.

But Brendan Guilfoyle, of the The P&A Partnership, said ABC’s bid is likely to be conditional on the club remaining in the Super League and buying back the lease to Odsal Stadium from the Rugby Football League (RFL) - both of which remain potential stumbling blocks.

The group of Bradford businessmen have been in talks with both Mr Guilfoyle and the RFL for just over a week and are now in a position to make a formal offer, but the RFL has said it is not in a position to accept an offer with conditions attached to it.

Mr Guilfoyle said: “I'm expecting an offer tomorrow from the ABC consortium. Whether it is acceptable to me and the RFL remains to be seen. But they seem intent on buying the club and I'm hopeful.”
