He was a dedicated constituency MP, a good companion on those late night sittings. A man of integrity, warmth & charm. So sorry that his last years were not the best for him personally. Thoughts go out to his family - he will be remembered with affection.

What a decent man and MP...i wasn't even his constituent yet he still allowed a meeting with me about my concerns over unchecked immigration, at his surgery! and when i left a message of good will at his Office recently he had the decency to call me and thank me...If every MP was like Marsha Singh then we would have the best Parliament on Earth!...may VaheyGuru bless your soul.

Farewell to Marsha Singh, a true Socialist who represented the poor and downtrodden people of Bradford.

Bradford's minority ethnic communities have lost a great inspirational role model. It was enormous pleasure and privilege knowing him and working with him in a variety of situations. He was an effective ambassador for Bradford. He always had the best of Bradford at heart and served us well. He will be missed greatly as a friend, politician and people's man.

It is a very sad news that former MP Marsha Singh has passed away today, political affiliations aside he was a wonderful human being and I would like to offer my condolences to his family and ALL close friends.

I campaigned for his election during 1997, and became friends with him. I treasure the fond memories of this wonderful warm soul. He was kind enough to call me up just before polling day in 2012 and wish me luck at the Parliamentary elections even though i was standing against him. Rest In Peace Brother You are now in a better place than this cruel world.

Very sad to hear the death of Marsha Singh who resigned earlier as MP due to ill health. He was man of people, I watched him from his young age. I used to live next street when I came to England. I remember when we as an IWA helped him to set up Asian Youth movement. I met him many time when we used to campaign against racism. As an IWA we had fraternal relationship with Asian Youth and discussed the strategy on many issues. He was successful MP and will not be forgotten.

The news of Marsha Singh's demise came as a real shock. I have had the privilege of working with Marsha and campaigning for his election in 1997. He was a person of great integrity and charm and he will be sorely missed by us all in Bradford. My sincere condolences go to his family. No words can truly describe the sense of loss I feel as one of his constituents and as a friend. May his soul rest in peace.

He helped me when I had problems getting either the housing association or social services to accept responsibility for a service my mother needed when she was ill. I saw him occassionally having a drink after dealing with his surgery, he was always polite, friendly a perfect person to be the local MP. I do not think Bradford West will ever be lucky enough again to have such a wonderful person looking after its interests. He is a great loss and although his family will be very sad at his loss I hope they feel proud that he did so much for so many people.

Marsha was a great man and MP. He would help in any way he could. The councillors that roam city hall should take a leaf from his book and improve their integrity and commitment to the people and the city of Bradford.

He had a profound impact in making a difference in Bradford, both before he became an MP and whilst representing his constituents. A man of integrity and commitment, he fought against bigotry and prejudice and earned the deep respect of many. Thank you Marsha.
