It is now advantage Campion reserves in Division Two after their 3-2 win over title rivals Albion Sports.

Srikes by Jordan Aird, Paul Noble, and Chris Graham for Campion cancelled out Arron Gibson and Chris Gibbon’s goals to give them a crucial victory.

It leaves both sides level on 37 points and an equal goal difference, but with Albion now having completed their league fixtures it means Campion need just one point from their final league game against West Horton at Manningham Mills this Friday evening to clinch the championship.

Once again the weather intervened at the weekend, with half of the scheduled fixtures being called of due to waterlogged pitches.

Tyersal ended their Premier Division season with a 3-0 home defeat against Storthes Hall, with Lee Mozley, Kyle Silkstone and an own goal giving the visitors the points.

Ovenden West Riding have two games to play and moved to within one point of lifting the championship trophy for the first time since the 1966-97 season after beating relegation candidates Littletown 5-3.

John Booth struck a hat-trick and Andy Gregory a brace for the Halifax side but Littletown produced a spirited fightback in the second half, with two goals by Aidan Schofield and one from Gibril Botang preventing the champions elect from running away with it.

Two goals from Stephen Barge were insufficient to stop Campion slipping to a 5-2 reverse at Kirkburton as Danny Ingham (2), Paul Wright, Danny Morgan and Jack Greene, kept the hosts in line for a top-four finish.

Division One champions Lepton Highlanders slipped to their first defeat in all competions last Friday when they were beaten on penalties in the final of the West Riding County FA Challenge Cup by West Yorkshire Association Premier Division side Leeds City.

The game ended 2-2 after extra-time but they lost the shoot-out 3-1.
