Hull 24 Bradford Bulls 18

Tom Briscoe's 70th-minute try broke the Bulls' hearts as they produced a courageous display which should have earned them a share of the spoils.

Mick Potter's men, still reeling from the news that the club needs to raise £500,000 by next Friday to stay in business, largely matched high-flying Hull in every department.

After Richard Horne put the hosts ahead, Bradford replied through Keith Lulia's effort before Willie Manu's try put Hull 12-6 up at the break.

The Bulls struck back shortly after the restart through Karl Pryce, only for Horne to grab his second in the 57th minute.

Yet again, though, the Bulls roused themselves and John Bateman's converted try tied the scores at 18-18 before Briscoe's try and Danny Tickle's late penalty confirmed a fifth straight win for Hull.
