A housing advice service based in Keighley plans to hold an event to mark the 2012 International Women’s Day.
Keyhouse will stage the event at Central Hall, in Alice Street, from 11am to 3pm on March 6.
The organisers say they are particularly keen to get younger women involved, which will match this year’s official International Women’s Day theme ‘Connecting Girls, Inspiring Futures’.
They say the session, to be attended by Bradford Lord Mayor Councillor Naveeda Ikram, will give women a chance to meet and find out what services are available for them in the district to help them access healthcare, training and education opportunities and housing.
Anyone else who feels they can contribute to the women-only event is asked to get in touch with Keyhouse on 01535 680677.
