A campaign aimed at improving the safety of cycling in towns and cities is being backed by the former leader of Bradford Council.
Kris Hopkins (pictured), who became Tory MP for Keighley at the last general election, said he had no hesitation in signing up to the campaign. The initiative includes calls for the redesign of dangerous road junctions, better training of cyclists and drivers and reduced speed limits in residential areas.
Mr Hopkins said: “The rise in the number of accidents involving cyclists is very worrying.”
