Detectives in Bradford attempting to solve a serious sex assault committed more than 40 years ago have made a fresh appeal for witnesses.
Bradford South CID has made an appeal to find David Wright, who is believed to have been a key witness to the attack in the Barkerend area in the summer of 1968.
A complaint was made to West Yorkshire Police in June 2011 and police have attempted to trace a number of witnesses.
Police believe Mr Wright moved to Devon from Bradford as a teenager and would now be about 50 years old.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “If he is still living in this area we would like to hear from him, as he could provide significant help in progressing this investigation. We want to speak to him only as a witness. He has nothing to fear in coming forward.”
Anyone with information should contact Detective Constable Paul Riley on (01274) 376593.
