A blaze which destroyed a building containing up to 7,000 tyres is being treated as “suspicious”.
A police probe is continuing into the cause of the fire, which destroyed a former tannery in Albert Barker’s Yard, Hollins Hill, Baildon.
Tyre-fitting company Aire Valley Tyres lost thousands of pounds of part-worn tyres stored in the building during the blaze last Sunday.
The building was devastated by the fire and has been part demolished.
Investigators from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service have been struggling to find out exactly how the fire started.
But fire investigator Peter Crowther said: “We are treating it as suspicious at the moment but the overall cause it not known and is still under investigation.”
