Two men brutally murdered in a Bradford home might have been repeatedly struck over the head with a claw hammer and a dumbbell, a jury heard.
The bodies of Ahmedin Khyel and Imran Khan were discovered dumped by the roadside in May last year A jury at Bradford Crown Court has been told that minicab driver Mohammed Zubair is “prime suspect” for the killings.
Tahir Khan QC, for the Crown, alleges Zubair attacked Mr Khyel and Mr Khan, 27, of Gloucester Avenue, Fagley, Bradford, at his house in Heath Terrace, Barkerend, Bradford.
Yesterday, pathologist Dr Charles Wilson, said Mr Khyel was the victim of “a sustained and forceful assault”. He suffered at least six blows to his head.
Dr Wilson said the injuries were consistent with an attack with a dumbbell but a hammer could have been used as well.
Mr Khan had been hit at least 13 times on the head with what could have been a claw hammer.
Sabir Hussain, of Wensleydale Road, Thornbury, Bradford, denies helping to murder the men.
Mohammed Iqbal Mazar, 29, of Athol Road, Heaton, Bradford, denies perverting the course of justice by cleaning up the house.
The trial continues.
