The favourite feel-good tune for people in Yorkshire needing a lift is Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now, a poll has revealed.
The YouGov poll being published today by Samaritans coincides with the launch of their fundraising day, Feel Good Friday.
After Queen, which had a 40 per cent vote, the top five feel-good songs were Abba’s Dancing Queen, Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive, The Monkees’ Daydream Believer and Don’t Look Back In Anger by Oasis.
Today is Feel Good Friday where businesses take part in ‘feel-good’ fundraisers and challenges in return for a donation to Samaritans.
Wibsey-born musician Jon Paul Palomobo, who serenaded Leeds residents with the songs to cheer them up this week, said: “Feel Good Friday is all about coming together to raise money while having fun at the same time.”
