President of Macmillan Cancer Support Lady Halifax officially opened the charity’s new national fund-raising centre in Shipley yesterday.
She cut the ribbon at the charity’s new base at the Waterfront office complex in Salts Mill Road, which has created 28 jobs.
The centre responds to inquiries from fundraisers employed by the charity and the public, offering help to people who want to raise funds through events including marathons and coffee mornings.
It has already taken over the work of regional offices in Scotland and Northern Ireland, London and the South East.
