Hundreds of fans of TV show Flog It! queued in the rain at Victoria Hall, Saltaire, to have their antiques valued by well-known experts.

The popular BBC show was filming episodes for its new series yesterday, with antiques experts estimating viewers’ items before giving them the choice to sell them at auction.

Before the doors opened at 9.30am, there were hundreds of people queueing around the historic building waiting to see what their items were worth.

Presenter Paul Martin, smartly dressed in a purple velvet jacket, led a singalong with Bingley-based organist Robert Sudall playing Victoria Hall’s mighty Wurlitzer organ, as a 40-strong TV and production crew filmed them.

Mr Martin said: “We’ll have about three or four hundred people during the day, and we are looking for antiques and collectables to value and that their owners may want to sell. Hopefully, we can uncover some real treasures.”

Teddy bears, furniture and an antique chinese vase were among the items valued by antiques experts David Barby and Michael Baggott.
