A record-breaking number of parents are opting to pay for school meals provided by Bradford Council.
Another year-on-year rise in the uptake of school meals puts the district among the top 20 areas in the country for the popularity of its hot lunches.
The proportion of school children eating local authority meals in Bradford is well above the national averages in both primary and secondary schools – despite a rise in the price of meals at primaries.
