Police have today confirmed a body recovered from Ullswater is fisherman Mark Bryant, of Beamsley, near Addingham.
Officers in Cumbria say the body of the 55-year-old, who was last seen on Tuesday, was discovered by police divers at about 7.30pm yesterday following a day-long search which also involved police, the coastguard and the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team.
Police believe there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
The Coroner and Mr Bryant’s immediate family have been informed.
