An Ilkley woman is enjoying a well-earned rest after cycling between London and Paris.
Business consultant Liz Freeman completed the 200-mile route in aid of Doctors of the World UK, which helps fight disease internationally.
Miss Freeman was one of 49 cyclists from Britain, France and Belgium taking part. She she wanted to complete the ride because it was an organisation close to her heart.
“I found out about the invaluable work of Doctors of the World and their mission to make access to health care a human right,” she said. “It made me feel so lucky that I could contribute”
Miss Freeman, who spent three months training for the event, said it was a great way to keep fit and have fun.
“I have so many great memories – the bike ride was such incredible fun from start to finish,” she said. “I feel privileged to have had this opportunity.”
