Parents in Pool-in-Wharfedale and Bramhope are being asked to help shape the future of their children’s education.
Adel and Wharfedale councillor Barry Anderson is seeking views on the provision of primary school places as the area faces further housing development and pressure in its infrastructure.
The appeal follows a warning from Leeds City Council that schools could be oversubscribed and that more capacity is needed.
Officials forecast an extra 15 places are needed in the Adel and Cookridge area for 2012.
Coun Anderson said he needed to hear the views of parents and residents before meeting officials in September and wished to open up a debate about improvements to the infrastructure as the population increased, putting pressure on the infrastructure.
