A pupil at a Baildon school has been shortlisted for a regional sport student of the year title.
The student, who attends Titus Salt School, is one of 12 pupils from eight schools across the Yorkshire and Humber who are in the running to be named Sky Sports Living for Sport Student of the Year 2010.
The nominees are being kept a secret until the start of the new school term next month.
Teachers were asked to put forward pupils at schools that have used sport to support and inspire young people to reach their potential, to share the impact it has had on them.
Schools involved in the Sky Sports Living for Sport programme devised individually-targeted activity schedules to give pupils chances to try a broad range of activities, including cycling, trampolining, athletics and dodgeball.
Regional finalists will be invited to an awards ceremony at Lord’s Cricket Ground in October.
