Detectives are still investigating the unsolved murder of a teenage Bradford prostitute nearly a decade ago.
Becky Hall, 19, whose son Jordan was four months old at the time, went missing on Good Friday, April 13, 2001. She was last seen at about 10pm, leaving her flat at Lydford House in Elizabeth Street, Little Horton.
Her battered and naked body was found dumped in an alleyway behind a car park in Thornton Street, in Bradford’s red light district, two weeks later.
The teenager, who worked as a prostitute to pay for her heroin addiction, had been stripped and subjected to a sustained, vicious and brutal beating. She died from severe head injuries.
Two years ago detectives hailed a forensic breakthrough in the case, when new technology allowed DNA recovered from Becky’s clothing to be examined.
The officer who led the murder investigation, Detective Chief Superintendent Max McLean, said someone in Bradford knew who was responsible and suspected the killer knew Becky or regularly used her as a prostitute.
