Bradford & Bingley must be careful not to take their eye off the ball tomorrow when the second-placed team in Nation-al League Three North face second-from-bottom New Brighton at Wagon Lane.

In eight days' time, the Bees face arguably the biggest game in their history - at leaders Nuneaton - but first they must concentrate on securing a maximum five-point haul against the men from the Wirral.

"I hope to give Ronnie Kelly a ten to 15 minute run-out tomorrow so he is available to start against Nuneaton," said Bradford & Bingley's head coach Geoff Wappett.

"But fellow prop Danny Greenhalgh is out with a tweaked ankle so Roger Raper starts.

"Richard Hughes, who I am rotating with Steve Burns, is available again for the second row after flu and will start on the bench, and Joe Simpson should be fit to play on the wing despite a recurring knee injury."

Wappett was tempted to give the battered body of back-rower Neil Spence a week's rest, but the flanker typically wants to play.

Wappett added: "Neil has a heavily swollen hand but just keeps going.

"He is the consumate professional but I wouldn't want to be in his body when he gets to be 40!"

Cleckheaton, who entertain bottom club Kendal in the same division, hope to field four teams at home for the first time in their history.

"We are hoping to get another five points," said Alan Bentley on behalf of the hosts, who are working their way into mid-table from a relegation berth only a few weeks ago.

Further good news is the return of New Zealander Tom Gwilliam. He plays at fly half for the second team.
