GREEN Lane completed the double over title chasing Bilton to put a spanner in the works of the double seekers on a day when second placed Follifoot maintained the pressure with victory over Burley.

Green Lane's win over the reigning champions flung the title race wide open as Follifoot gained a comfortable victory over relegation threatened Burley.

Follifoot are now within one point of Bilton and the two sides are due to meet on the final day of the season at Bilton Lane.

With Andy Walker taking 5-61 Green Lane were restricted to 161 but they had their own hero in off-spinner Scott Crosby who produced a devastating two over spell in which he took 4-4.

Follifoot's success came with two overs to spare and was mainly due to a fine innings from number five Darren Pattinson who hammered 2 sixes and 12 fours in his unbeaten 95.

He and Brian Smart (57 no) shared a profitable stand to see their side past the Burley score of 178-8.

This defeat sent Burley to the bottom of the table and following their promotion last season they look to be heading straight back down to Division B.

They lost to the in-form Adel and are now in the relegation battle one point ahead of Burley and one point behind Tong Park and four adrift of Beckwithshaw.

An opening stand of 94 between Gary Thompson (69) and Sam Smith (48) assisted Otley in their win over North Leeds. Otley have moved to within one point of Kirkstall in third place.

For North Leeds Nick Richardson bagged a hat-trick in his four wicket return.

In Division B Pool clinched the title with Australian Simon Dart hammering 95 and sharing a first wicket stand of 128 as his side overcame second placed Steeton by a five wicket margin.

The defeat was a blow to Steeton's promotion hopes as Collingham took advantage with a three wicket win over Silsden to move within five points of them.

Calverley's outside hopes of grabbing a promotion spot suffered a massive blow when they were defeated by Knaresborough for whom West Indian pace bowler Attiba Allert (6-28) and veteran Mike Baxendall (4-18) did the damage. They were dismissed for a mere 46.

Menston were consigned to a second successive relegation when they were defeated by Bardsey on Saturday.

An unbeaten fourth wicket stand of 104 between Steve Bowes (58 no) and Claud Davies (36 no) saw Bardsey win by seven wickets.
