DIANE Osadzenko couldn't believe the bare-faced cheek of the male members of her family when they did the "Full Monty" for her 40th birthday.

A fivesome made up of Diane's husband, Tony, two brothers and two nephews, decided to spice up the party at Skipton Working Men's Club.

They decided the stripogram booked wasn't up to scratch and it was they, not Diane, who wore their birthday suits.

"Slave" had to stand aside as Tony, Dave, Mark, Lee and Richard began peeling off in the style of the heroes featured in the film "The Full Monty".

It tells the story of a bunch of former steel workers in Sheffield who strip in a get-rich-quick scheme.

But there was no financial incentive at the Osadzenko get-together - just the joy of seeing Diane's face when confronted with five of her relatives in the buff.

Diane, of Rowland Street, Skipton, said: "I was a little bit shocked at first but I just smacked their bums. I got my own back the next day when I kidded them that it was all captured on video. They were very embarrassed then.

"I think they just wanted to liven things up a little bit because the kissogram didn't go far enough."

As it was, the Osadzenkos didn't quite go as far as The Full Monty either.... they left their jeans around their ankles.

*Full Monty scriptwriter Simon Beaufoy, of Glusburn, was celebrating again this week after his film picked up four trophies at the BAFTA awards.

The movie, penned by Simon, picked up best film, as well as best actor for Robert Carlyle, best supporting actor for Tom Wilkinson, and the special audience award.

Proud mum Madeleine Beaufoy was watching the awards with her husband, Roger, at their Glusburn home.

"I'm absolutely delighted. It's something to do with it being a British film and getting British recognition," she said. "It's a marvellous achievement. The film has gone around the world and made the world laugh, it's amazing."
