So here we are top of the table and confirmed as the winners of the Minor Premiership.

At the beginning of the season we set ourselves some goals, to go through the season undefeated at home and to win the Minor Premiership.

We didn't expect to win the Minor Premiership with two games left to play but now we are concentrating on going through the season undefeated at Odsal.

To achieve that we must beat Leeds on Friday in what promises to be the biggest game of the season.

There is certainly no love lost between the Rhinos and ourselves and they will be well fired up for the contest.

The St Helens defeat means that Leeds can now finish second and they will be well up for it.

It was a tough hard game at the Boulevard last week.

Hull threw everything at us in the opening twenty minutes but we knew that if we were patient we would score points in the final stages of each half.

The one thing about playing at the Boulevard is that the next morning you certainly know that you have been in a game.

We had some very useful performances at Hull.

Mick Withers - Superman.

He was in sensational form and he must be a candidate for the Player of the Season.

His four tries were all class and he linked up well with Leon Pryce.

Leon just gets better every week and his try from the kick through was superb.

I see an old mate of mine hung up his boots last week.

Schoey is not only a former team- mate but also a fellow Belle Isle lad.

He has had a great career and it's about time he packed in.

He owes me a drink from Christmas, about four years ago.

I don't suppose I'll get it now; he'll be crying poverty.

Seriously he has been a great servant to the game and it was a privilege to play alongside him at Leeds.

It is the big one on Friday and I am hoping that we can beat the Super League record crowd.

In the four years that I have been at Odsal I have never seen anything like the queues for tickets for a Super League game.

We have certainly marketed the game in a big way.

Last week we had a plane flying over the city advertising the game and we have had some great campaigns on the radio and in the press.

The game itself should be a real cracker.

We have played them three times already this season and they have won two.

I feel that we are two very evenly matched sides and, I know that it is an old clich, whoever comes out on top will win the game.

Leeds have some great players, Iestyn Harris, Adrian Morley, Lee Jackson can all win games but we have got our fair share as well.

I think that it is likely that we will meet them in the play offs at some stage and it would be nice if it was in the Grand Final.

We realise that we haven't won anything yet and to beat Leeds would be the ideal way to start the play offs.

We will be having a week off before our involvement and it will be good to be able to rest our bodies before the big game.

Make sure that you are here on Friday.

It is going to be a tremendous occasion and it is one to tell the kids: "I was there."
