Dynamic centre Scott Naylor helped the Bradford Bulls earn their rightful place in the Grand Final and then set his sights on Old Trafford glory.

Naylor took the Sky Sports man of the match award as the Bulls stormed to a 40-4 semi-final victory over St Helens at Odsal to put them within sight of their second Super League title in three years.

"I've waited 11 years for this and I intend to make the most of it," said a delighted Naylor who is enjoying the high life after some hard times with his previous club Salford.

The close season signing from the Willows admitted: "People talk about the money but the reason I came to Bradford was to win things. I didn't want to finish my career with nothing to show for it.

"I had a point to prove out there tonight. People like Newlove keep getting picked for Great Britain squads but I never get a look in.

"I don't expect a Christmas card from him but I think I showed a few people tonight and I will keep battling away for recognition. I'm not on my last legs yet," said the 27-year-old.

"I did get asked by John Kear to join the England squad but I need a groin operation at the end of the season and had to turn him down.

"The injury is OK when I am playing but I don't think it would take another couple of games against the French."

Saints were simply washed away in the opening ten minutes with three tries including one from Naylor.

Coach Matthew Elliott said: "I am so proud of my players. You can't help but be a little tense before a game like that. I was this morning until I looked at my line-up.

"Stuart Fielden and Paul Anderson were outstanding and then Brian McDermott and Jamie Peacock came on and lifted us up a gear.

"Bernard Dwyer was back to his best. Scott Naylor can't edge into any rep teams but he played against the Great Britain centre and I'll leave you guys to make up your mind up who came out on top."
