Customers will soon be taking their hats off to Ilkley's newest ale and wine bar, the Bar t'at, which takes its name from the Yorkshire anthem On Ilkla Moor Baht 'at.
The Cunliffe Road bar is being converted from a shop as part of a £100,000 refurbishment by Knaresborough-based Market Town Taverns, which also has pubs in Skipton and Harrogate.
It is to be officially opened at 7.30pm on Wednesday October 6 by Dr Arnold Kellett, the author of On Ilkla Moor Baht 'At: The Story of the Song.
Dr Kellett will be signing copies of his book at the opening, which will be followed by a rendition of the famous song. The bar itself will be open to the public from the following day.
Converted for the new archive on 30 June 2000. Some images and formatting may have been lost in the conversion.
