The Bradford Sunday Alliance Premier Division match of the day lived up to its billing as East Bowling Unity beat rivals Oakenshaw 4-2 in a thriller.

Dave Elvidge, who scored all his side's three goals the previous week, went one better by scoring all four in an outstanding demonstration of finishing. Oakenshaw had levelled twice through Andy Payne and Craig Lawford before Elvidge settled matters.

Bradford Moor found themselves 3-0 down after 20 minutes at Queensbury as the home side punctured an unsteady defence. But Moor recovered to turn the game round and Chris Jeng hit a second consecutive double as Moor won 6-3.

Wibsey WMC recorded their first win at the expense of Stanley Road, former Crewe junior John Green scoring twice in a 4-1 win.

In Division One Westwood benefited from a first half penalty save by Lee Ashworth in their 4-3 win at Dudley Hill Rangers. Rangers equa-lised soon after half-time having held Westwood to one goal, but lost out in a late flurry.

In a top-of-the-table clash at East Ward, Fairweather Green maintained their 100 per cent record with a 3-1 victory. Green turned round 2-0 in front before East Ward pulled a goal back through Ian Wilson, only for Fairweather to settle the game through Lee Summerscales.

A first half hat-trick from Martin Dolan for Wrose Bull ended the challenge of Springfield, who have still to record their first point, in a 3-1 victory.

In the battle between last season's two relegated sides Victoria Rangers slipped to their third successive defeat against Wyke Wanderers.

Despite only going up in third place to Division 1A after a team dropped out, Monkey have acclimatised well. Stephen Robinson put them into a first-half lead against Thornbury, before a Paul Connor penalty and Justin Steele strike settled the game. Thornbury could only add a late consolation.

Wilsons Transport dropped their first points when Bank Top held them to a 1-1 draw. Andy Hughes cancelled out Bank Top's 22nd minute opener from Paul Doyle.

West Bowling are scoring goals for fun. They made it 27 in four games with a 7-3 win over Clayton Orient. Roger White notched his second hat-trick while Chris Wood made it five in two games with a double strike.

Late injuries unsettled Quarry at Malta Court who went 2-1 up through Paul Collett and Dave Dickinson before losing 3-2.

In Division 1B Mark Cawthra scored twice and set up three others as Clayton Royal recorded their first win with a 6-2 beating of Wrose Albion who had scored from the game's first corner.

Kevin Kelly inspired a second half comeback for Station at Junction with Kevin's cousin Ian hitting the goal of the game in the final minutes as Station wrapped up the points 5-3.

Queens Athletic kept their 100 per cent record though Calverley scored first. Queens needing strong defensive work from Joel Warden and Mark Lockwood before winning 3-1.
