The Bulls could have skipper Robbie Paul, winger Lesley Vainikolo and second row Daniel Gartner back for Friday's Super League match at Castleford.

The trio all missed Monday night's 44-18 home victory over Salford that kept the Bulls at the top of the table.

Paul pulled out with a recurrence of a rib injury, and Vainikolo hadn't recovered sufficiently from the thigh injury he suffered against St Helens 11 days ago.

Gartner has been out with a rib cartilage injury since the victory at Widnes on Sunday, March 24.

Bulls head coach Brian Noble said: "Lesley Vainikolo was 60-40 to play against Salford, but like Robbie he pulled out.

"Robbie has a chance to play on Friday, but the injury is something he has had for a while.

"However, with playing last Monday and this Friday we have to be smart with people.

"Lesley should be OK for Friday and Danny is back in full training and we'll have a look at him for Friday, but Michael Withers (groin injury) is realistically two or three weeks away."

Noble, happy with the victory over Salford, despite going 10-0 down within five minutes, said today: "For some reason we want to give teams ten or 12 points start, but the boys were great and they kept their patience.

"We were super at times, especially in the second half, and I am delighted because I was a bit apprehensive about the fixture.

"I saw their line-up - they had a dig against Widnes - and then they went 10-0 up and I thought 'Oh gosh. Here we go', but after that we were great.

"We made a lot of right decisions in a lot of right areas and our kicking game was good and our defence was outstanding as well - the tries they got came from a couple of ricochets and a freak bounce."

Salford coach Steve McCormack, who lost Bobbie Goulding to a virus just before the match, said: "We made an excellent start.

"We know how they like to dominate from the whistle, but I am a little bit disappointed that we couldn't maintain that.

"You have to be on the ball for 80 minutes against Bradford and we had a couple of lapses of concentration."
