Spen Victoria continued their good form in the Naylor Premier with a 19-11 win at Ladyhill.

Peter Jagger's 21-7 over Nigel Breadley got the away side off to good start, and Ladyhill's star bowler Steve Cooper had no answer to Spen's Ian Tordoff, Tordoff winning 21-12 as Spen Vic subjected Ladyhill to yet another home defeat.

Spen's former captain Kevin Wood led by example with a 21-5 win over Paul Rooks in their 18-12 home win over Eccleshill.

Game of the day though was the Pudsey derby between Littlemoor and Britannia, with both teams looking for a big win to build on their good starts to the season.

Littlemoor took the first three jacks (Craig Farquharson 21-9) only for Britannia's J Pitt to produce a big 21-4 win over Paul Jaques.

The game seemed to be swinging Britannia's way until P Cousins' 21-9 for the Littlemoor side gave them the aggregate boost they needed to win the game 19-11.

Premier League beware! Asa Briggs are still dominant in the Godwin League and produced yet another big home win, this time 27-3 over Peel A.

James Senior stood out with his 21-3 for the home side, though there were also single-figure wins for Gary Whelan, Glenn McCafferty and Andy Denton. Andy Firth (21-3), Andy Howie (21-4) and Gordon Flower (21-5) answered a few questions regarding Eccleshill B's chances of promotion this year with a (28-2) home win over Wibsey A.

Wyke struggled to a 16-14 win over Bramley Libs A on their own green, and would not have gained that win without R Wilkinson's fine 21-3. Armley Cons A are still in the mix at the top end of the league after their 24-6 home win over Guiseley.

Pudsey Ltd B did bottom club Driglington no favours with their 22-8 home win in the Observer League, the Pudsey side posting nine winners on the day.

Roy Sanderson was Haworth's only winner as they travelled to Spen Vic B. Paul Blackburn (21-5) and Alan Ball

(21-6) only added to Haworth's troubles as Spen Vic ran out easy 27-3 winners.

Home advantage seems to be a thing of the past for Woodside A. They could only manage a 15-15 draw with Brighouse B, Ian Bolton's 21-7 win over Helen Simpson the highlight for the home side.

Gordon Preston's enthusiastic celebrations for Salts turned out to be a little premature as visitors Greengates left with an 18-12 win, Ricky Kearns a 21-8 winner for Greengates.

Heckmondwike are producing some fine performances. They travelled to Crowghyll, which has never been the easiest of places to record a victory, though Allan Brooke's 21-5 and five other winners helped Heckmondwike to a 19-11 away win, and ensured they are still in with the leading pack at the top of the league.

Royd House picked up 23 valuable points at Brackenhill A in the Bartle League. Some big winners for the Wilsden outfit included Derek Pollard (21-4), Billy Cater (21-6), Cliff White (21-8) and Pat White (21-9). Tyersal, who were sitting pretty at the top, were also in a high-scoring mood punishing Rufford B 21-9, early 21-7 wins for Jamie Lindley and Terry Wilsden doing some of the damage for the home team, though Derek Benson did produce the same 21-7 scoreline for Rufford.

Bowling Park A were lucky to escape from Lister Park with 12 points as Nino hadn't fed his Lister team for a couple of weeks, and they were hungry for points. Ray Charles was top scorer with his 21-3, though there were also wins for Captain Esposito (21-5) and Abdul Majid (21-8).

County Vets bowler Joe Mellor Snr set his Low Moor Harold team well on their way to victory with a 21-13 win over Clayton's Alan Readyhough, Chris Lee's 21-3. Ken Green's 21-11 also helped the Low Moor team towards a 20-10 scoreline.

Super Stanningley recorded yet another maximum 30-0 win in the Haigh League, this time over Wyke B. Don Sturgeon (21-4), Maurice Warren (21-4), Mabel Shaw (21-6), Steve Gardener (21-7) and Robert McCurdie (21-9) all helped towards a massive margin of 113 points.

Queensbury B had a good home win over promotion rivals Asa Briggs B in the Riley League. Susan Gormley

(21-7) and Norman Hirst (21-7) all bowled well in Queensbury's 22-8 win.

Bramley Libs B strengthened their position at the top with a 25-5 win over Woodside B. Norman Wilkinson (21-4) was the pick of the Bramley winners. Eccleshill 's Andy Firth was a 21-5 winner in their 24-6 win over Crowghyll B. Brian Conway (21-6), Peter Dykes (21-7) and Rob Dewhirst (21-9) were also Eccleshill C winners.

Charlie Kirk's 21-7 helped Guisley to a hard-fought 19-11 home win over Troydale, and Wibsey B and Knowles B shared the points at Wibsey Park. Fred Haylock won 21-7 for Wibsey, while Knowles had Keith Nicholls on form winning 21-6.

In the Field Packaging League, BBA have added 52 points to their total in the last two weeks, with a 24-6 home win in a re-arranged match with Pudsey BC and a 28-2 home win over Salts B.
