EFFORTS by J P Mewies Craven Cricket League officials to persuade players to clean up their act in terms of unacceptable verbals appear to be paying off.
The first suspension of the season was meted out at the last Disciplinary Committee meeting when a Cononley player was suspended for three matches for talking out of turn.
This is in contrast to last season, when a handful of players were called to account and the situation reached such a state that action needed to be taken.
