Eye-catching images are thrilling art lovers as a wide range of exhibitions continues in the district’s museums and galleries.

Photographer Dana Popa has beaten off competition from hundreds of entrants to clinch first prize in the world- renowned Center Project Competition 2010 for her hard-hitting Not Natasha exhibition which explores Moldova’s sex trafficking industry. The photographs are currently on show at the Impressions Gallery in Centenary Square, where they will be until Sunday, April 18.

Artist Jacob Schuhle-Lewis uses photographs and illustrations to tell the story of an epic cycling trip from Canada to Mexico.

His exhibition, 1800 Miles South: Images from Vancouver to Mexico, is running until Thursday, April 15, at the Projeto Gallery, in Kirkgate, Silsden.

Paintings and other works by Bingley Art Society have been displayed at Bingley Library, in Myrtle Walk, over Easter – and people still have time to catch the exhibition, which closes on Saturday.

And recent work by the photographers of Ilkley Camera Club can be seen at the town’s Manor House Museum and Art Gallery until Sunday, May 9.

Entry to all these exhibitions is free.
