A TINY tot put petrol panickers to shame when she took to pedal power at the age of only two.

Proud dad Aldo Aresu was wheelie amazed when Natasha gaily pedalled off on a bike without stabilisers after only a moment's guidance from him.

Mr Aresu said: "I could not believe my eyes. I just gave her a push and off she went."

Natasha, who is three next month, performed her balancing act at the start of the petrol crisis.

Mr Aresu thinks she may have been inspired by seeing him cycle off to work at Brintons.

He believes she may also have been taking tips from the rest on the family who all ride bicycles including mum Paula, brother Michael, five, and sister Kelly, ten.

Specialist child development medical officer Dr Helen Cross of Kidderminster's Bromsgrove Street health centre said: "This is certainly a bit young.

"Children do not normally start pedalling until three-and-a-half and balance is not good enough to cycle without stabilisers until at least aged four-and-a-half. Occasionally you do come across isolated cases of advanced motor skills at a young age."
